About Heather
Jewellery is a passion, second only to hanging out with my boys! I love the process of creating jewellery! Designing a piece that has sentimental value, connecting with people while helping someone to pinpoint her personal style and making jewellery that will be loved and worn for years to come is very satisfying. Jewellery can be a sparkling addition to an outfit or a statement of your personality!
My interest in working with metal developed while studying Fine Art at Guelph University. While etching copper plates with nitric acid was fun printing editions was tedious! I loved the process of creating in metal and was easily able to transfer my skills to silver using the same etching techniques I had learned at school. In 2009 I updated my skills with the addition of Precious Metal Clay which opens a new world of opportunity and a “greener” less toxic way to work. Combining PMC with traditional metal smithing techniques provides new inspiration and new challenges. Each piece is made by hand; pierced, sanded, textured, formed and polished with care.
